Did you know that the Met Office issues Yellow, Amber, and Red heat warnings to help keep people safe during periods of hot weather?

• Yellow – Be Aware: Hot weather may affect vulnerable people. Stay hydrated, avoid the midday sun, and check on family, friends, and neighbours.

• Amber – Be Prepared: Significant impacts are possible. Consider adjusting outdoor activities and take extra care if you are older or have underlying health conditions.

• Red – Take Action: Extreme heat poses a risk to everyone, with the potential for serious

health impacts and disruption to daily life. Follow official advice and avoid unnecessary

travel.

To help keep everyone safe, the Centre will close whenever a Red Heat Warning is issued by the Met Office. Any changes to our opening hours will be shared via WhatsApp and our Facebook page.

Stay cool, drink plenty of water, and look after one another this summer!
